Bay of Fires has unveiled its 20th vintage collection, celebrating the vineyard’s cool climate wines developed in Tasmania.

The collection includes the 2019 Bay of Fires Chardonnay, 2019 Bay of Fires Pinot Noir, 2020 Bay of Fires Riesling, 2020 Bay of Fires Pinot Gris and 2020 Bay of Fires Sauvignon Blanc.

Bay of Fires chief winemaker Penny Jones said the team was proud to celebrating its 20th year, with the lower temperatures, long summer daylight and maritime influences allowing the winery to craft elegant wines that celebrate Tasmania’s landscape.

“Tasmania is deservedly recognised as Australia’s finest cool climate wine region as well as one of the world’s leading producers of premium wine,” said Jones.

“Several of the Tasmanian vineyards we source both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from were planted for us at carefully selected sites. These sites are now developing really nicely in maturity, which translates to better balance and a stunning depth of flavour in our wines.

“Both the 2019 Bay of Fires Pinot Noir and Chardonnay exemplify this development boasting richness and elegance that is so desirable from cool climate Tasmania.”

The Bay of Fires new vintage collection of wines is now available from major retailers and independent stores nationally.
